Discussion mostly focused on the German translations, and translation tool developed for their private implementation of LiteFarm. However their goal of providing tools for Carbon Credits was also discussed.

AgroSolars private implementation of LiteFarm test project includes creating german translations and adding a Solar power module to the main dashboard of LiteFarm. Grazing/ planting between solar panels can provide a dual income stream.

Looking at carbon credits was mentioned and briefly explored. They were comparing two methods as a first test solution:

  • using a calculator api like CoolFarmTool

  • Focusing on the soil sample collection to do straightforward analysis


They have decided to focus short term on Soil sample analysis as the low hanging fruit. There is a company that has set a high standard for soil sample collection and carbon analysis in Germany named CarboCert: https://www.carbocert.de/ .

It is tightly integrated with a comparable product to LiteFarm is NEXTFarming .
